Lesson Plan Description

Understanding and analyzing data seems like an enormous task for little ones. This 1 hour lesson scaffolds them to understand how to group and analyze data at their level. Your students will:

Participate in a “mathematical” focused read aloud of “Apples” by Amanda Davis
Collaborate with their peers to collect and compare data sets
Work independently to demonstrate their understanding by creating their own survey about apples
