Lesson Plan Description

In 2nd grade, students are transitioning from learning to read to reading for meaning. a close examination of an informational text and its text features. Students will:

Create a “Text Features” chart to help them remember and understand the purpose of informational text features
Practice using text features (bold words, glossaries, captions, titles, & headings) to locate key facts or information from text efficiently.
