Lesson Plan Description

Integrating science standards and learning into the teaching of reading is the way to go! We have so little time to get everything done. In this 1 hour lesson that incorporates Earth Science Standards, your students will:

Utilize strategic sentence frames to ask and answer text dependent questions with partners
Analyze cause and effect relationships with a focus on effects
Utilize a graphic organizer to show the effects that climate change can have on Earth

This lesson addresses the NGSS:

ESS2.D: Weather and Climate: Climate describes a range of an area’s typical weather conditions and the extent to which those conditions vary over years.
