Lesson Plan Description
Fourth Grade 1 hour math lesson addressing Numbers in Base-Ten: rounding whole numbers to the hundred-thousands place (4.NBT.3). This lesson includes: key place value and rounding vocabulary, helpful student notes for reference, as well as guided and independent practice of concepts. Students will use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 1,000, 10,000, and 100,000. They will round to the nearest 1,000, 10,000, and 100,000 on a vertical number line.
