In this 1st grade Measurement and Data Lesson, using blocks, cubes and other measuring tools, students will determine the length of different classroom objects. They will learn the “proper” techniques for measuring objects by placing their measurement “tool” at the beginning, counting and laying units end to end. Working with a partner, students will trace around their bodies to measure and label the picture.
