Lesson Plan Description

This is a 1 hour, lightly scripted, Fourth or Fifth Grade Social Studies lesson. It answers the Essential Question: What is the basis of a functioning society?

Students will:

  • Reflect on what the economy is and how they contribute to it.
  • calculate their own spending, earning and savings over a weeks time.

Addresses the Economics 3-5 subject: Compare the benefits and costs of individual spending.
