Lesson Plan Description
This is a 1 hour ELA lesson plan addressing several ELA standards using the picture book Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, by Kevin Henkes for a read aloud. Your students will identify the characters in the story of Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, engage in a discussion about how the character of Lilly changes throughout the story, and create a connection chart (using guided art strategies) to show about a time when they have felt like the character.
