Lesson Plan Description

Closer looking is the precursor to close reading of complex text!  In this engaging and interactive lesson, your students will use images of the process of pollination in order to:

  • Collaborate in strategic partnerships by asking and answering text evidence questions based on pictures
  • Practice the skills of analyzing and drawing inferences with photographs

This lesson addresses Second Grade Life Science NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). LS2.A: Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems: Plants depend on animals for pollination or to move their seeds around. (2-LS2-2)
