Lesson Plan Description

This is a 1 hour ELA lesson plan addressing several ELA standards using images of Pollination (included). This lesson includes: close reading comprehension techniques(RI.2.1, R.I.2.7, SL.2.1, SL.2.2), Observations and Drawing Inferences from a Photograph. Your students will use close reading comprehension techniques.

  • Students will ask and answer questions based on information in pictures.
  • Students will engage in collaborative conversations by posing or responding to specific questions.

It addresses Second Grade Life Science NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). LS2.A: Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems: Plants depend on animals for pollination or to move their seeds around. (2-LS2-2)
