Lesson Plan Description
Engage your students in a complex text series of lessons using a narrative text “Little Bear’s Long Sleep”.
Your students will:
- Move from the literal interpretation of literary text to evaluation and synthesis through strategic partner talk
- Analyze a character using dialogue, actions, and thoughts
- Create a Plot Mountain to determine the main events and sequential order of a narrative in order to determine the problem and solution
- Write an Fictional Narrative using the 5 plot elements
These lessons can be taught over the span of a half day or you can use the lessons independently, broken up over several days.
