Lesson Plan Description
Reinforce the skill of measurement with collaborative academic talk, partner work and a game. Having fun while learning helps our brains to remember and apply new skills to different situations. Your students will:
- Segment 1: students will estimate length of objects in inches, feet, centimeters, meters, measure actual lengths of objects, and brainstorm objects that are about a centimeter, inch, foot, and meter
- Segment 2: students will read clues and then locate the correct objects to estimate and measure length
These lessons can be taught over the span of a half day or you can use the lessons independently, broken up over several days.
