Lesson Plan Description

Practice the skill of skip-counting in 3 different ways with this bundle of lessons.  We “cement” our understanding of new skills by practicing in different ways and applying that skill to “real-life”.  Your students will:

  • Segment 1: practice the language of place value with partners by using a number chart in order observe for patterns as they color-code and practice skip-counting then work in pairs to complete a “maze”
  • Segment 2: demonstrate and apply their understanding of this skill by working with diverse partners and play the Skip-Counting Hop-Scotch game and complete an exit slip to help you determine next instructional steps
