Description: This ELA & Math bundle contains: Fully scripted-3 ELA segment lesson bundle (broken into 25-60 min. segments) based on the text, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, by Kevin Henkes.  Students will:

• Practice sound/symbol relationships during a shared reading
• Identify the main character in the story and how she changes throughout the narrative
• Create a connection chart using a guided art lesson

Kindergarten bundle of math lesson plans containing 3 separate segments (20-60 minutes each) addressing Measurement & Data: sorting by different criteria, counting (K.MD.A.3, MD.B.4.A, MD.B.4.B, MDB.4.C, MD.C.6, MD.C.7). These lessons include a read aloud of Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, by Kevin Henkes, interactive activities like sorting themselves using different criteria, play a sorting game with a partner justifying their sorts, and create a t-chart to sort purple and non-purple objects.
