Description: Having a positive mindset is so important for your students' success throughout the school year and as they move forward in life. In this activity, K-5 students examine what it is to have a positive mindset through a video clip and song and utilizing the corresponding positive mindset statement matching worksheet. Students will also set goals and make their goals memorable by utilizing social emotional learning and creativity in an interactive photo booth using the Trolls cutouts as props.

In each segment students will be using a picture of a school library as a gateway to complex text and language development. Students will engage in collaborative conversations by posing or responding to specific questions as well as practice paraphrasing information presented visually. Using pictures, student will begin to find evidence for basic questions and label pictures for the purpose of forming sentences that describe the picture both orally and in writing.
