Lesson Plan Description

This is a 1 hour, lightly scripted, First Grade Social Studies lesson, which can also be used for Kindergartners. It answers the Essential Question: What are the basis of a functioning economy?

Students will:

  • Learn the difference between goods vs services.
  • Create a classroom T-chart visually defining a good vs a service.

Addresses the Economics K-2 subject: Describe examples of the goods and services that government provides.
