Lesson Plan Description
This bundle of 3 lesson plans (30-60 minutes each) addresses several ELA standards using an informational text “Firefighters”. Your “littles” will enjoy learning, sharing and writing about firefighters.
Segment 1: students will use informational text features to understand the meaning of new words and define the role of an informational writer.
Segment 2: students will use a bubble map to describe a firefighter by their character traits.
Segment 3: students will write 1-2 sentences about firefighters.
These lessons can be taught over the span of a half day or you can use the lessons independently, broken up over several days.
