Lesson Plan Description
This is a 1 hour ELA lesson plan addressing several ELA standards using an informational text, “Kid Apps”. This lesson includes: close reading comprehension techniques, multiple readings of text with different purposes in mind, independent analysis, partner discussions, and whole groups discussions. The focus of this lesson is on sequencing and application by creating their own kid app idea. Students will create a graphic organizer to show the sequence of events for using technology to create kid apps. In addition, they will complete a graphic organizer to design a plan for creating their own app.
