Lesson Plan Description
This 1 hour lesson plan addresses several ELA standards using an informational text on Native Americans. Your students will use close reading comprehension techniques and will participate in repeated readings of the same text, each time with a different focus in mind. They will work both independently and with a partner to analyze and better understand the text. Students will take literal interpretation of informational text to evaluation and synthesizing.
