Lesson Plan Description
This is a 1-1.5 hour ELA lesson plan addressing several ELA standards using photographs and informational text. This lesson includes: close reading comprehension techniques, synthesizing text features (photographs) and informational text, key details, cause and effect, and vocabulary. Your students will analyze and make judgments about photographs of an unknown location and create a book while synthesizing this information. The book will include cause and effect, key details, and vocabulary. As students evaluate the informational text (photographs), they will be engaging in collaborative discussions with classmates.
