Lesson Plan Description

In this 1 hour 4th Grade Life Science Lesson, your students will learn how animals use their senses to process and react to information to help them survive.

Essential Question: “What functions enable an organism to survive?”

Students will:

  • Listen to a read aloud about the 5 senses.
  • Watch a video of how a specific animal uses its senses.
  • Use a website to conduct partner research.
  • Create a poster about how an animal uses its senses.

*This lesson includes optional cross curricular extension activities relating to ELA and math.
