In this 1 Hour 2nd Grade Physical Science Lesson, students will learn what objects can be disassembled and reassembled.

  • Engage in a read aloud by Andrea Bett, Iggy Peck Architect.
  • Conduct experiment disassembling objects made of matter

Conclusions are drawn as to what types of matter can be disassembled and reassembled into something new.

This lesson addresses the overarching essential question throughout the grade levels “How does energy move through and effect matter?
