Lesson Plan Description

Math lessons that do more than teach students to rotely memorize math facts and math procedures without demonstrating an understanding of the WHY can be challenging to plan, execute and keep exciting for our learners. In this bundle of 3 lessons, your students will:

  • Segment 1: students will practice subtraction within 10 using manipulatives.
  • Segment 2: students will practice subtraction within 10 using a number line.
  • Segment 3: students will demonstrate understanding of subtraction within 10 using the strategies practiced in the previous segments

These lessons can be taught over the span of a half day or you can use the lessons independently, broken up over several days.
