Lesson Plan Description
Building our students’ ability to infer, analyze and collaborate with informational text deepens in 2nd grade. This bundle of 3 lessons (30-60 minutes each) will help you guide your little ones to:
Segment 1: ask and answer questions such as what, where, when, and how to demonstrate key details in the text
Segment 2: create a graphic organizer to record key information and show the sequence of stages in the growth of a pumpkin
Segment 3: identify multiple meaning words and select the correct meaning based on a text
These lessons can be taught over the span of a half day or you can use the lessons independently, broken up over several days.
