Lesson Plan Description

Perfect for multilingual students learning English, this bundle of 4 lesson plans provides scaffolds and supports that help students access the complex text. Based on an informational text, “Kid Apps” your students will:

Segment 1: practice in partners taking the literal interpretation of informational text to evaluation and synthesizing
Segment 2: Utilize a graphic organizer to show the sequence of events for using technology to create kid apps
Segment 3: create and use two headings to write a summary of the informational text
Segment 4: design a plan for creating their own “app”

These lessons can be taught over the span of a half day or you can use the lessons independently, broken up over several days.
