Writing narratives is an art that can be nurtured by analyzing a mentor text.  In this 3rd grade 1 hour fully scripted lesson, your students will:

  • Engage in an active close reading lesson through collaborative partner talk with the support of sentence frames
  • Write an autobiographical narrative demonstrating their understanding of plot elements and character development
