Lesson Plan Description

Cement your students understanding of place value by playing a game outside (or in a larger indoor space). When we have fun we remember our learning. In this 1 hour lesson your students will:

Collaborate with partners, practice identifying that 100 can be thought of as a bundle of 10s called one hundred by sorting and counting
Demonstrate their understanding of 2 digit or 3 digit numbers using the “language” of place value by playing a mental math place value game “Steal the Bacon”
