Lesson Plan Description
Fourth Grade 1 hour math lesson addressing Numbers in Base-Ten: rounding whole numbers to the hundred-thousands place (4.NBT.3). This lesson includes: a place value and rounding review and a game to reinforce the concept of rounding whole numbers through the hundred-thousands place to any place. Students will spin a wheel to create a 6-digit number. They will then spin a second wheel to determine which place to round their number to. Finally they will compare the two numbers to determine who has the larger number.
